I recommend you check out PPT2HTML. For more information, check out their site at :

(Disclaimer - I am not associated with either RDP or Reilyand, Inc. I just know that the tools are very useful and create much better HTML.)

Can anyone tell me how to get decent html output for both netscape and internet explorer when converting Powerpoint 2000 to HTML?

When I save a PowerPoint presentation as web pages, they look fine in Explorer, but less than optimal (or worse) in Netscape 6.0, even after I select the "disable the features not supported in the Internet Explorer 4.0 and Netscape 4.0" checkbox under Tools >> Options >> Web Options.

When accessing the converted page in Netscape, I first get the following message:

"This presentation contains content that your browser may not be able to show properly. This presentation was optimized for more recent versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer. If you would like to proceed anyway, click here."

and then Netscape displays a rather lame version of the page or nothing at all.
