This isn't complicated.

1. If you want to be independent and get margin-free rates: Get insurance,
market your services, hire your own lawyer, buy your own pens, etc. In
other words, do what every other small business on the face of the planet
has to do.

2. If you want somebody else to worry about the details: Use an agency and
expect a margined rate.

There are no shortcuts. If you want to go into business for yourself, you
have to operate like a business. If you are not willing to do all this
work, don't be an indepenent consultant. Go to an agency and let them take
care of all the details.

It really annoys me when independents want their cake and they want to
make $90 an hour off eating it as well. Clients are PERFECTLY within their
rights to define the rules of how they will work with other businesses.

Insurance requirements are not intended to restrict, they're intended to
protect the business from amateurs who can't handle running a business.

Anyway, I have a server looking for some love.
