RE: "install" as a noun?

I can see the advantage, in spoken shop argot, of distinguishing install from installation. "How big is the installation?" "It's 15,000 square feet." "How big is the install?" "It's 78 megabytes."

That said, in written user doc, I'd find another way to make the distinction.
