I would recommend someone wanting to evaluate training materials go to the
ASTD site (American Society for Training and Development) and get one or
more of their booklets on what makes effective training. They have an entire
series. Each one costs about ten dollars, with discounts for multiple
titles. When I first began having to develop training too many years ago to
count, I found them invaluable references that were more useful for
"just-in-time" learning that reading books.
