How do I edit the following cross-reference in Frame so that my <$paratext>
is bold?

See \`<$paratext>\' on page\ <$pagenum>.
</snip>

Character formats are listed at the bottom of the list of building blocks
in the Edit Cross Reference dialog box. Set one up for bold, insert it
ahead of <$paratext>, then put a <default font> tag after it.
