One of my biggest Clippy peeves was that every time I was writing something
like a procedure heading that had a colon at the end, he'd pop his smarmy
little head up, cheerfully tell me that it looked to him like I was writing
a letter (never mind that this was 300 pages into a document) and ask me if
I wanted his help in doing so.

I never could find a way to get him not to show up. If ever any of you write
something like this, please, please, please include a check box "Never show
yourself to me again, ever."

Which part of Clippy did you not like? The animation? The interruptions? The
quality of answers? I am curious because I see people complaining about
Clippy, but not differentiating between the animated character and the
actual search functions the character represented.
