I am just about to enter into a situation that may require I switch from
permanent employee to contract status and I would like to know if anyone
has approximate numbers on the value of a benefits package.

The benefits would include major medical, dental and vision plus life
insurance for myself and my spouse. I am located in Houston, TX.

Of course I realize that situations may vary from person to person so I am
looking for ballpark figures here, expressed as a number or a percentage.

Thanks in advance.
