Fellow Techwhirlers,

This may seem antiquated, but I'm finding that when
I'm sitting with SMEs or in meetings/conferences, it
would be helpful for me to use either shorthand or
speed writing. My handwriting has become noticeably
unreadable these days. :~)

I tried my hand at shorthand during my college days (I
won't say how long ago), but regret not finishing it.
It would be really great to have it now.

A more up-to-date approach would be to use a small
tape recorder, but most people are uncomfortable using
it. I would like to be more discreet in my
note-taking.

At any rate, if there are any tech writers out there
who use shorthand or speed writing, can you tell me if
you find it helpful or should I force the use of a
tape recorder?

Also, are there any web sites, online classes, or
schools that still teach shorthand or speed writing?
Any advice/help/leads would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Paula
