In Frame documents, to prevent unauthorized distribution of draft materials,
I put the word "Draft" in large YELLOW type angled across the master page.
This shows up as a light gray in the printed and photocopied versions. It
does not significantly impair legibility, but it does make the watermark
visible.

Word does have a watermark feature, but I haven't used it recently. I would
think that the same color trick would work there, too, however.
