Who's the Wizard(ess) with Word 2000 Style Sheets?
Subject:Who's the Wizard(ess) with Word 2000 Style Sheets? From:"Robert B Kennedy" <bobbykennedy44 -at- home -dot- com> To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- raycomm -dot- com> Date:Tue, 13 Feb 2001 06:43:53 -0500
Hello all,
In all my year() of technical writing, I've managed
to avoid creating an entire style sheet. Now that
I've been tasked to do so, I'm at a loss for a
good reference guide (or GOOD TIPS!) for
creating a style sheet in one sitting (You
know the novice: forget one checkbox
and the sweet Headings and Numbered Lists,
composed in an hour-long, sweaty-knuckled
ordeal, are finito!)
Forthwith:
1) How many ugly, automated, wrecking
checkboxes exist in Word 2000 to undo
hours worth of work?
2) Is there a chart somewhere that states
what the optimal "space above" (and related
formatting selections) are for a corporate
(policy) document?
3) Is it advisable to combine a style sheet template
with a template containing design elements (logo,
header, footer, etc.) or should they be kept separate?
(I suspect I know the answer to this one.
Lunch to anyone who gets three out
of three. You just need to fly to NYC.
Thanks!
