Hi. Cross-posted question follows.

I'm being asked by my developers to check the HTTP interface all the time,
and one of my ongoing concerns lies with spacing problems. Pages that look
fine in the last two versions of both Netscape and of IE on one user's
machine look cramped or worse on another's. (It may depend on the monitor
but we're not sure.)

If the pages were coded in HTML, it's be easy to fix because we could
specify relative sizing (i.e., percentages) rather than specific pixel
widths. But since my developer is working in Java, I'm not sure (and
neither is he) if it's even possible to specify proportional spacing in
applets. Does anyone know? Or does anyone know a more appropriate forum to
which I might post this question?
