Is your co-worker using Word 2000? There seems to be a bug with the "number
of pages" field in Word 2000. It's fixed by installing the latest Service
Pack, but that same Service Pack also drastically affects your ability to
receive attachments in Outlook. So it's a catch-22. Guess you just have to
figure out which is most important to you!

A co-worker of mine is having problems with MS Word. Can anyone shed light
on the problem below?
I'll forward your responses to him.
TIA

Greetings:
I was hoping that maybe you could help be with a problem I am having in MS
Word.
I exported a table from a 3rd-party application into MS-Word format. Then, I
inserted that file into my MS-Word document.
Everything appears fine onscreen, but when I print, my page numbering is now
hosed.
I am using the page 'x of y' format in my footer, and as I stated above, the
numbering looks good onscreen (i.e., 1 of 24; 2 of 24; etc.). But when I
print, I get: 1 of 1; 2 of 2, etc.
This problem affects all of my documents that are numbered in this fashion.
All of my documents used to print correctly, but for some reason, my
environment appears to have become corrupted such that although the 'x of y'
numbering appears fine onscreen, it does not print correctly.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Jeff
