Of course. Machine translation is no more a substitute for human translators
than a car is a substitute for legs. But a car can get you places faster
than you can get on foot, if everything has been arranged to be convenient
for car transport. (If not, using a car over short distances can actually
slow you down: and I imagine that the same is probably true of machine
translation.)
