Michael Collier is wondering about C++ source code documenters.
Funny you should be asking about these right now. I'm in the process of
evaluating a slew of them to use for documentint my company's API and other
source code.
Yes, some of them do a great job at picking up comments, providing logic
and tree views, and even giving you a fairly decent HTML help
system. Others don't live up to their ads. All of them need to be
seriously massaged to get what you want, or at least what I want from them.
You can usually get a two week evaluation copy for free. And some of the
companies will work real hard to get their software working with your
code. If you need more information, email me off-list and I'll be happy to
share my findings with you.
