I do a little double-take myself (see my current title in my sig).

OK, I'm picking nits here, but the (English) name of the group is
International Organization for Standardization, and ISO is not an acronym.
As the ISO Web site explains, the name "ISO" comes from the Greek "isos"
meaning equal, which ties in with the idea of standards (see
http://www.iso.ch/infoe/intro.htm). If they were to use an acronym, it would
differ from language to language.
