Do the majority of people out there multitask or not?
HTML help is fast becoming a pet peeve of mine. I always multitask, and
I've usually got a browser open (at the office it's to check the output of
the hand-coded pages I'm writing).
Several times lately I have clicked on the help menu of an application (some
not even Internet-related applications) to find my browser suddenly leaving
what I was doing and opening HTML help.
I certainly don't want to create documentation that is going to anger
readers as soon as it opens.
