I posted this at the bottom of one of my comment on Bad Page Design, but
wondered about people's opinions.

Speaking of design, Kraft needs to work on their instructions for making
Mac -n-
Cheese. 2 10 year olds read the directions and followed them from "Top
Of Stove"
through to "No Drain Microwave." They had no IDEA that these were two
separate
sets of instructions. So after cooking it fully on the stove, they put
it in a
microwave-safe dish and nuked it, stirring every five minutes. Needless
to say
it was "nasty," and they ate oatmeal instead. Only 1 direction for
making it on
the box.

I would guess that a writer wrote the Kraft instructions, and their
market is kids, so I wonder, did they not usability test on their
market, or is this there some part of education parents (only 1 10 year
old was mine) are missing?
