Hi John:

The context in which it was posted leads people to believe that was your
response to the tragedy (see others' response to your posting). All of the
postings on this tragedy and other incidents of workplace violence (I didn't
see the postings as using the list to express grief) differ from your
perspective of it. I meant that by your posting it would incite others to
respond (as it did me). I think you perhaps could have prefaced your posting
with something to the effect that it didn't reflect on any particular
incident of workplace violence. I think that would have better couched your
position.

Anyway, regarding laugher, yes, it can be the best medicine depending on the
circumstances and who's doing the laughing. I think we're in agreement that
in these instances, the laughter is best left to the friends and families of
the deceased, who will be able to deal with their losses in the way they
best see fit, and in time, may include laughter as they remember their loved
ones.
