Interesting. I've often debated the pros and con of putting my political
and union involvement on my resume; I keep adding or removing it. Like
Dick, I gained a lot of relevant experience, but, unlike Dick, I wasn't
sure that I wanted to weed out those who might be offended by it. I can
usually get along with nearly anyone in person, but, by putting this
material on my resume, I might be inviting prejudgement.

Well, that's why some people don't include dates of employment.
Actually, with the collapse of the dot.com boom, I suspect that
experience is going to start counting for a lot more. Youth may have
more enthusiasm, but age is more likely to have experience and
reliability. After all, what all the stories about twentysomething
millionaires never mention is that they frequently have officers or
senior staff ten to thirty years older than they are.
