Sorry, Wally, but perhaps I was unclear in my earlier post (if so, I apologize; I strive to be clear).

It is all right to ask stupid questions. It is rude to yell at people for asking stupid questions or to discourage them from doing so. I was only asserting that to deny the existence of stupid questions is self-deluding.
