Well said, Bruce. I still help many people, even do pro bono writing and
research occasionally, but not with the ardor of years ago. I especially
remember one young man who called. I invited him to visit, I talked with him
for a couple of hours, I designed a format for a Web site he wanted to
start, and I wrote a good bit of text for it to help him get started. Not
too much later, he made a deal to sell it to a very prominent company, and
wouldn't take my calls or email. It's a case I especially remember, but by
no means an isolated one. I don't like the feeling of having been used. Does
anyone? - Herm
