Susan,
By default, Word only provides heading levels 1-3 in the normal.dot
template. The easiest way to remove other heading levels is to delete
normal.dot and start Word again with a new one. I don't know the answer to
your other question. Good luck.

Subject: Deleting or renaming built-in styles in Word
Hi,
I'm wondering if I can delete or rename built-in style in Word. I am
assuming that I cannot delete the styles, but I am hoping that I could
rename them and then delete them. I'm talking about those oh-so-useful
headings 4 through 9.
Also, is there a way to get my styles to display alphabetically inthe
drop-down box? I am using Word 98 on Mac OS 9.
Thanks,
Susan
