Hi,
I just sent out a desperate email to see if FrameMaker would do what Word
doesn't, because my very large document just wouldn't open again....
However, if you document starts to open and then just crashes, here's what
you do:
1. Close Word.
2. Log off and on again, so all the temporary files are cleared.
3. Open Word again.
4. Create a new document (with the correct template for the file, if you
are using one).
5. Open the INSERT menu.
6. Select File from the menu.
7. Choose the file that previously wasn't opening.
8. Click on Ok and all that.
Voila, your file is back. Just save it with a new name!!! Your page layout
maybe muddled up a bit, but that's a small price to pay!
