RE: Creating x-refs to tables and figures in FrameMaker
Subject:RE: Creating x-refs to tables and figures in FrameMaker From:"Santacroce, Marc" <Marc -dot- Santacroce -at- kla-tencor -dot- com> To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- raycomm -dot- com> Date:Fri, 20 Oct 2000 14:00:21 -0700
Patricia,
1. Place your cursor where you want the x-ref to oppear.
2. Select Special>Cross-reference.
3. Your "Document Source" should probably be "Current" (default).
4. Your "Source Type" should be "Paragraph".
5. Scroll down through your paratags until you find your table tile tag; I
use TblTitle Normal.
6. If you don't see an appropriate tag, you'll have to make one.
7. Select the table title you want to x-ref from the right hand "paragraph"
window.
8. Select your Reference format, I use TableNum/Name, from the "format"
pull-down menu.
9. If you don't see an appropriate format, you'll have to make one.
Hope this helps,
Marc
