I worked for a QA manager at my last job and it was HELL. She was
constantly trying to rope me into testing software when she refused to do
so herself, and she understood diddlysquat about tech writing. For
example, she complained when I insisted on putting together an outline for
a book I was going to write. "What do you need an outline for? Aren't you
senior enough that you know how to write a book without an outline?"

Glad to be out of there,
