The source code is normally of no interest to the end user, so why waste
time with it?

Your lucky: It appears that you have not been asked to create end-user
materials for software so primative, that in order to make any sense out of
the interface, you HAVE to look at the source code. Here in Cleveland Ohio,
there is plenty of such software.
