Subject:Curious printing problem (PRN files) From:Sybille Sterk <sybille -at- wowfabgroovy -dot- net> To:techwr-l -at- lists -dot- raycomm -dot- com Date:Thu, 09 Mar 2000 23:50:25 +0000
Dear All,
I've got a very strange printing problem. To get our files ready for
professional printing I create PRN files from Word. I've had quite a few
problems in the past, but this is just too much! We are using tables for
notes where the area for the text is shaded with a light grey. When I print
those files and then look at them in GhostView, all pages which have notes
on them, have either a stripe through (only the notes) the shaded area,
where the text is not shown or the bottom half of the shaded area has been
moved to the left. The stripe is about 1/2 cm wide.
I am using Windows 98, Word 2000 and the Xerox 135 printer driver.
I've tried changing the PS settings for the printer driver, played around
with the display settings in GhostView and tried to get a later version of
the printer driver, however the one I've got IS the latest...
Any other suggestions? Ideas?
Any help would be much appreciated.
TIA,
Sybille
Sybille Sterk
