Kim,
Since you are already on AOL, you can get Netscape & the other software you
need from the computer section (cheaper than $40 for Internet Starter Kit,
which is for real beginners and provides far more detail about the Net than
you probably want)
Big question .... do you have a Mac or Wintel machine? Macs are a breeze to
set up for direct providers (MacTCP is integrated into System 7.5),
Wintel's sometimes less so, depending on your hardware/their hardware/your
TCP software/etc. If you have Wintel machine, highly recommend you talk to
service provider BEFORE setting up your TCP connection.
Good luck ... I can't imagine my costs if I used AOL for my e-mail!
