To Mary Massirer and all that are interested in this topic:
This is an excellent discussion! The technical communication profession
needs more dialogue like this between academe and industry.
For a continuation of this topic and other academic/industry relationships
of interest to technical communicators, attend the focus group discussions
on academic and industry partnerships to be held on Monday, June 7, from 2
to 5 p.m. in the Peacock Terrace room of the Loews Anatole Hotel at the
40th STC Annual Conference. Read about this special session in an article
by Dr. Kenneth T. Rainey, Southern College of Technology, in the April
issue of STC's Intercom (for an electronic copy send me e-mail at
aba -at- oc -dot- com).
