I think the goal here is to standardize how to refer to these addresses collectively, rather than individually.
Like others here, I prefer a space between the words: "allow list" / "block list".
Perhaps if you have a glossary in your docs you could link to the definitions from there, just to make things really clear? I like to do that once per topic though - at the point the terms are first used - to avoid littering a page with links.
