> <$paratext> <$pagenum>
> openObjectId <$relfilename>:<$ObjectType> <$ObjectId>
> <$paratext>................................... <$pagenum>
> <$paratext> .................................. <$pagenum>
> <$chapnum><$paratext>
> <$paratext> .................. <$chapnum>-<$pagenum>
> <$paratext> .................. <$chapnum>-<$pagenum>
> <$paratext> .......................... <$chapnum>-<$pagenum>
> <$paratext> .......................... <$chapnum>-<$pagenum>
> <$paratext> .................................. <$chapnum>-<$pagenum>
> <$paratext> .................................. <$chapnum>-<$pagenum>
This might be a dumb question, but are you sure that the numbering in the
individual chapters is set up using the $chapnum variable? What's the syntax
for the autonumbering on those paragraph tags?
You can make the numbering work the way you mentioned using other methods,
which would explain why they don't work in the TOC.
