> Has anybody out there in tech writing land used AuthorIt?
> (Anybody know how expensive it is?)

I just attended the dinner provided by eHelp for the speakers at this year's
WinWriters Conference (everyone send me good-speaking vibes at 1:15 Pacific
Time on Tuesday!), and sat next to an R&D guy from the company.
The topic of AuthorIT was brought up by Scott DeLoach, who was also at the
table. The R&D guy said that AuthorIT is more expensive by far than eHelp's new
RoboHelp Enterprise, and Enterprise runs $1,899.00. He also said that
Enterprise is aimed at the small- to mid-size company, while AuthorIT is aimed
at much larger companies.
That's about all I can give you from the small bit of time that he talked about
it, but if you are looking for a solution that you think AuthorIT might
provide, you might want to also look into RoboHelp Enterprise.
For the record, I don't work for eHelp, nor do I even currently use their
product, though I have in the past. :-)
