Sonia Bayne asked about typing Russian in MS Word, and Andres Heuberger
provided details on how to do it, but I would like to add a few things:
1) Only recent versions of the core fonts (Arial, Courier New and Times New
Roman) for Windows include the Cyrillic alphabet. You can check your fonts
by going to Symbol... on Word's Insert menu and looking for the Cyrillic
subset. If you don't have the right versions of the fonts, you can get them
