I'm doing some research for a friend who is moving from tech writing
into usability/user testing. Does anyone know generally whether
usability people (those who design user tests, recruit participants,
administer user tests, etc.) make more or less than technical writers?
Also, does anyone know of a similar list to this one for usability
folks?
I've been looking at the SIGCHI, Usability Professionals Association,
and Human-Computer Interaction Website with no luck, other than one
salary survey from 1997.
