PDF ought to be compatible with different printers. However, the software,
the printer drivers, and the OS are imperfect.
For example, the only real problem I had printing PDF was with Adobe
PostScript printers, with that problem the PCL printer did fine.
So, get and install the latest printer driver from your printer's
manufacturer (www.hp.com, I would imagine). HP ColorJets, in my experience,
are pretty unreliable printers . . . or perhaps I mean quirky. I recommend
you also contact HP support on this.
