Hi all,

If you like pain, please read on. . .

We're currently internationalizing our task-based user
manuals (i.e., removing US specific terms) since our
company will soon be selling its software to customers
in South America and Europe. A third-party translation
firm will translate our internationalized
documentation into the appropriate language(s).

The re-wording is going well, but we're kind of
stumped on what to do with the screen shots, which are
all in English. Since the software will be
customized/translated to the customer's needs/language
once it's delivered, we can not get access to the
translated software to get the translated screen
shots.

So my big question is: How do we allow for
multi-language screen shots in our internationalized
documentation when the software will be customized
when it's delivered to the customer?

Whew! Hopefully I've explained this well -- it's still
confusing to me. I've searched the archives to no
avail, so any advice, relevant web sites, and/or case
histories would be GREATLY appreciated.

TIA,
Rob Steiner
