I'm totally in the dark, but think "carbonarum"
should be "carborundum". Carborundum sounds Latin,
but is actually the name of an abrasive substance.

I'm doing a search as I compose this . . .

Meanwhile, here's another idea. Some people find
stuff like that a little out of place in the
office (it does contain a thinly-veiled curse
word). Perhaps rather than just the words, you
could design a personal crest for her, with that
as the motto in smaller type below the crest.

Okay -- here's what I found:

Illegitum Non Carborundum

That looks right to me.

As far as I remember it's 'Nolite tes bastardes
carbonarum'...but I'm
not entirely sure about the 'tes' bit...dang,
shoulda listened in Latin
class...
