I'm usually a lurker to this list, although sometimes I add my thoughts to
a thread, or respond to a question that I know off the top of my head.
Today I find myself in need of assistance. I realize this may be a stupid
question but...

When you need to display an acronym for a series of words, after the first
occurrence of the word, should there be a space before the opening
parenthesis? Is there a rule for this somewhere? Or is it just a matter of
style?

Thanks in advance for your help.
You can respond off-line so as not to clutter the list.
