I haven't used PDFWriter (I use Distiller) but from following the threads on
this listserve, it seems that the majority believe Distiller is better
because it's less prone to errors/bugs/freakouts. It's also bundled with
FrameMaker, which makes it handy. Also, Adobe is a well-known company with
decent support, which I like.

Excuse the dumb question, but what is the advantage of using Distiller over
PDFwriter to create .PDF files?
Does using Distiller result in smaller .PDF files? Is this the main
