Actually, Geoff, some companies do indeed send out a reviewer's guide just
like the one Jennifer describes. Generally they are annoying, but there are
exceptions. Adobe's guides, for instance, are very detailed and
meticulously explain new features in their software. It really does help to
get a broader overview of a feature-laden program (like Photoshop) in less
time.
