I guess my grandmother was right:
"Every silver lining comes firmly
attached to at least one cloud."

Now, don't get me wrong. I LIKE the
new list setup. Lyris lists (I belong
to several) seem to be much more re-
liable than the old faithful listservers.
I LIKE having ads and job postings in
a separate mailing. I LIKE getting
ALL the messages, and I especially like
getting them an hour or two of when they
were originally sent instead of a day or
two later. And I LIKE the fact that
we now have the option of sponsoring
the list for a short period of time.
(No, I haven't done it yet. But the
next time I'm looking around for a
long-term client, I just might
consider it.)

However...

With the advent of sponsorship blurbs,
my spamkiller (DeadMail, a neat Eudora
plugin) now relegates all TECHWR-L
messages to the spamtrap folder.

Well, at least I know where to find them <grin>.
