The legal ramifications of charging fees to participate in a listserv are
worth consideration. However, in this case, I think civil liability is a
moot point. Charge a fee and this list will die. Better to align it with a
solvent organization, such as a university or S.T.C., and let them worry
about the source(s) of financial support.
