Not to keep harping on the section/page numbering issue, but I've been
working on my numbering problems for 3 days, and I'm not sure I can bear it
for another nanosecond.
I've abandoned the idea of having section/page/extra page (i.e., 4-1.8) in
my manual as Word can't handle this, but now I'm having problems with what
should be the simple function of section/page numbering (ie.,e 4-1). has
anyone else had problems with sequencing of numbers getting screwed up while
trying to do section/page numbering? i have inserted all the appropriate
section breaks in all the right places. i have selected bullets and
numbering and chosen an outline form. i have inserted page numbers
correctly and requested that they start over at each section. but some
sections work. and some sections don't. section 5, for instance, changes
to being labeled Section 7 and all the page numbers within that section are
4-1, 4-1, 4-3...instead of 7-anything!
