Subject:X, Y gaugeblocks From:Jay Maechtlen <jmaechtlen -at- AMADA -dot- COM> Date:Wed, 4 Aug 1999 08:22:41 -0700
Greetings!
I work in the Machine Tool industry for a CNC manufacturer.
Our machines typically have clamps (grippers for restraining/moving the
workpiece) which locate the material in the Y-axis. Typically there is a
retractable gauge block (sometimes a round pin) which locates the workpiece
in the X-direction. This retractable gauge block is known (to us) as the
"X-gauge block".
