TECHNICAL WRITER
1 Vacancy - Based in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
Reports to Technical Writing Team Leader
The successful candidate will be responsible for the
writing, editing, production, and maintenance of MKS product
user documentation, which includes user guides, reference
manuals, online help, and related materials for the MKS
Integrity line of products.
During the two years or more that you have worked as a
technical writer in a Windows environment, you have
demonstrated impeccable writing and editing skills, and an
ability to work with tight deadlines in an often high
pressure environment. Add that to your strong organizational
skills and your knowledge of word processing, desktop
publishing, graphics, and HTML, and you fit the profile of
the person we're looking for.
The responsibilities of the position include:
- Write and edit software user documentation to support MKS
products and the development process.
- Using a variety of software tools, produce user
documentation for printed and online dissemination.
- Proofread and verify the content and style of draft
manuals and online help to ensure accuracy and the highest
quality.
- Test software and related documentation as they are being
developed.
- File product problem reports related to or affecting
product documentation.
