I HIGHLY recommend the Handbook of Technical Writing, Fifth Edition, by
Brusaw, Alred, and Oliu. St. Martin's Press.

My whole group uses it as a backup to our internal style guide, and it
contains a ton of information that I show to new writers and interns, too.
