Techwhirlers:

I've recently switched industries from software to manufacturing. No more
FrameMaker, no more on-line help, not really any documentation, even.

Does anyone know of any resources (lists, web sites, books, etc.) that might
help me get better acquainted with the tasks I am now facing? I am still
subscribing to techwr-l, but a good chunk of the discussion focuses around
the software industry.

The company I now work for is in the motion control industry. We make motors
that are used in a variety of applications, but most prevalently in the
semiconductor, medical and food & packaging industries.

I am part of the Marketing department and my main tech writing
responsibilities are creating new product brochures and the company catalog.
The documentation for the motors is not my responsibility at this point.
Although I am creating marketing documents, they are rather technical,
including specs, drawings, etc.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
