The latest version of FrameMaker is 5.5.6. Adobe hasn't announced a schedule
for FrameMaker 6, but they are working on it and most expect to see
FrameMaker 6 in Spring 2000. To learn more, try subscribing to the Framer's
list at www.frameusers.com.
You can install a trial version of FrameMaker by obtaining an Adobe Sampler
CD. You can probably buy one from Adobe for around $25 (for shipping and
handling) at 800.833.6687, or by stopping by an Adobe booth at a trade show.
I no longer use RoboHelp. I've switched to WebWorks Publisher so I can use
Frame as my Help authoring tool, but there are many RoboHelp users on this
list who can help you out. I do know that RoboHelp is available from http://www.blue-sky.com/.
Best of luck,
Carl

Hello All:
I hope to soon purchase both Framemaker and Robohelp (in order to learn
them). I do have a few questions, and was hoping that someone "in the
know" could enlighten me:
1) Concerning Framemaker: What is the newest edition? Also, when is
the next edition/upgrade supposed to be released?
2) Concerning Robohelp: What edition would be the most viable for me to
purchase (i.e., the most marketable to learn)-- the classic edition, or the
.html edition?
If anyone out there has an unregistered copy of either of these software
packages, and wishes to sell, then please contact me directly via e-mail.
