You're always going to be treading a thin line between leaving money on
the table because you didn't ask for the max they'd pay and leaving a
job offer on the table because you asked for too much (unless you join
us gubmint employees whose salaries are standard). When you're forced to
play this game you just have to decide which is more important: getting
this particular job, or getting the highest possible income.

I wonder how Saturn handles this when they hire... ;-)
