On my side of things....

I absolutely love contracting and could never go back to the permanent fixed
rate job. I love the freedom, the money is unbelievable, and the best part
for me is being able to go to a different job every few months. I am able to
continuously increase my skill set and when things start slowing down and I
find myself bored, it usually means the contract is coming to a close and I
can move on to something new.

I think the most important thing for us Tech Writers is that we are even
able to discuss this. There are not many professions who are given the
options we have. I could not be happier with the career I chose.
